Painting was the first medium with which I began to develop my artistic discourse. During my early formative years I specialized in portraiture and the human figure, later I started to add overlays and transparencies as a way to include a sense of temporal dimension to the work.

Drawing and painting are tools that have always accompanied me in my projects, although today I am more interested in exploring the new formats and possibilities that technology offers. I consider that my approach to video or installation always stems from a pictorial need or intuition. Color for me is a key element, today I am more interested in exploring it as light than as pigment.
