Interactive Virtual Reality installation resulting from the REGA 2022 artistic residence in Cidade da Cultura, Santiago de Compostela by the Virtual Roots Collective, formed by Anna Stroe and Noa Rodríguez. By interacting with the wild plants of the installation, the public reconstructs a new vision of its surroundings.

This work seeks to portray our idea of territory, reflecting the relationships we establish with the place we inhabit. By interacting with local weeds, this portrait is modified showing other realities and other ways of living. The plants and images of the different inhabitants belong to Maidan Lane water reservoir, now Dartmouth Park Hill, and the Merryweather Court community.

These mock-ups of territory are for me an opportunity to involve the local community in the recovery and protection of biodiversity of urban wastelands. During the day they call the attention of the neighbors, at night I project on them images of the different members of the local community in its ecosystem. I seek self-reflection by portraying our relationship with nature.

This documentary is a fragmented vision of the recovery process of an abandoned urban land. The artistic interventions carried out in this place seek dialogue between institution, neighbors and experts in archeology and biology, with the aim of achieving an improvement in the local biodiversity and ecosystem - in which the social is also part.

The box works as an interactive device where the presence of two people becomes necessary. One of them can intervene in the box through the keyboard keys, thus altering the emitted color.

In the search of a way to work with light in space, I found holography as a specific technique that builds three-dimensional images using only light. So I got in touch with the Centro Fábrica Ciencia Viva de Aveiro and through a four-month internship, I learned the theoretical and practical foundations that allowed me to work independently and to develop my own artistic research in the field of holography.

Video installation that involves three projectors in which the image emitted is distorted and refracted, which studies our situation in front of the light, as an energy that we also are, through color as a subjective phenomenon.

Painting was the first medium with which I began to develop my own visual discourse. Even today it has a great influence on my work and on my artistic process. The origin of color and how we perceive it are issues always latent in my work.
